12 new performance models by 2020.
We have the GT, Raptor, GT350/R, Focus RS, and...another 7 models?
Possibilities I see: Fusion ST, GT500.
I’m genuinely curious as to where the hell Ford is going with 5 more cars. Finally a Corvette competitor? A Fusion RS too? Does that count a Lincoln performance car?
SO MANY QUESTIONS
If Ford does do a corvette Competitor, it better be called the Cobra. And come with a coyote. Track model with the 5.2 Voodoo for the Z06 competitor (or some variation of whatever the GT500 engine will be)
What are your theories? I can’t think of any other models to add.

What did I miss? TWELVE cars?
I want one of them to be a P1/LaF/918 competitor. Considering nobody knew about the new GT, I bet they could hide a car like this too.

Shelby Transit !

I could only see this as a higher horsepower version of the GT. Possibly called the 999 edition that they copyrighted not too long ago. There really can be no other model above the GT, it’s expensive and always viewed as the Halo car at the top of the food chain.

They are probably counting ST and RS Focus individually.
They are likely counting GT350 and GT350R individually...
but who knows... I have been hoping that there will be a special model variant of GT (with GT350R’s flat-crank V8 engine), and a Big-V8 (7.0L perhaps...) Raptor.

Fusion ST, Fusion RS, Fiesta RS, Taurus ST(?), C-Max RS, MKZ RS, Transit RS, and of course, the E-Series cutaway RS!

First and foremost: SVT Lightning.

SHO?

I’m guessing a new SHO will be part of that list.

There’s definitely a Fusion ST/SHO/whatever coming, we’ve already seen spy shots of it (much to my glee). I also expect a GT500 or something equivalent to it, no way they don’t make one. We’ve already got spyshots of the next-gen Camaro ZL1 on the Nurburgring, and of course there’s the Challenger Hellcat as well. Ford needs a competitor in that market.
Beyond that, I’ve no idea. A new Taurus SHO perhaps?

In the U.S. market CUV crossover suv ugly boot looking things are selling like hot cakes right now so I could see FoMoCo going with a performance Escape and or Edge

Escape w/ 300hp from higher output 2.0L or lower output 2.3L (AWD)
Edge w/ Focus RS 2.3L output of 345hp or Ecoboost 3.5L (AWD)
Explorer w/ Raptor 3.5L tuned down to over 400hp (AWD)
F-150 w/ Raptor 3.5L but street truck with light off-road ability.
Next gen Taurus SHO w/ same output as Explorer 3.5L (AWD)
Shelby GT500
Ford GT-LM or some track special akin to Aventador SV

They should make a Ford Flex RS - a big wagon(ish) vehicle with the V8 borrowed from the Mustang (unlikely).
Or do some sort of surprise move like making the Ford Ka available worldwide as a ST model (also unlikely).

My guess:
1. FuST
2. EsST
3. SHO
4. EdST
5. Yet another Mustang variant

My guesses: Fusion ST and/or RS, Fiesta RS (WANT), at least two more performance variants of the Mustang. After that it’s a bit more fuzzy. Maybe a new Taurus SHO? Maybe something with the Transit Connect (probably not, but I can dream)? Maybe a street performance F-150, like the Lightning of old. I’d love for them to finally make something along the lines of a Vette/911 fighter. Frankly with how well they kept the secret of the GT those remaining 7 models could be pretty much anything.

The ST doesn’t count because it came out before the start of the “12 new performance models” program.
